Christmas presents from West Wales!
If you’ve already visited Pembrokeshire, you’ll know that there’s a lot more to this fabulous part of Wales than stunning coastal scenery, incredible wildlife and some great places to stay. It’s also the home of some really talented makers – artists and crafters, culinary magicians, innovative and imaginative businesses that take the best of West Wales and turn it into amazing products and services. The good news is that if you’re pining for Pembrokeshire while you’re waiting for your next trip here, many of these great items are available to buy online – perfect for Christmas too!
A bit of R&R
Choosing the perfect gift can sometimes be quite hard. At Warpool Court, we believe that one of the greatest gifts you can give someone is time to relax and recharge – which is why we’ve created Warpool Court gift vouchers. Personalised for the person who will receive the voucher, just let us know how much you want to give, and we’ll do the rest.
Exquisite fused glass
Not far from us in St Davids we’re lucky to have the winner of the Gold Prize for Glass in the ‘craft&design’ magazine awards. Steve Robinson is an established fused glass artist and designer who produces beautiful pieces of glass. Glass panels, bowls, coasters and wall hangings, all infused with movement, fluidity and colours that just sing ‘Pembrokeshire’, are all available to purchase online.
Perhaps not strictly Pembrokeshire, as the cow shed where NomNom produce their “dangerously Welsh, beyond delicious” chocolate bars is just over the border in Carmarthenshire, but really, we’re not going to let that stop anyone enjoying this scrumptious chocolate. Their box full of Nom Nom is just what the hardened chocoholic in your life needs…
The warmth of West Wales
Perhaps it’s the fact that sometimes the weather over here in West Wales can be a little on the wild side that we’ve become so good at weaving such beautiful blankets, but whatever the reason, wrap yourself – or someone special – up in the warmth of a Welsh blanket this Christmas. Melin Tregwynt is in Castlemorris, just up the road from us here in St Davids, and has stunning blankets, throws, clothing, bags and other items made from fabrics woven on site in traditional Welsh designs. And when you come back to visit in the summer, you can drop by to see the weaving as it happens!
These are just a few ideas for gifts from Pembrokeshire that we’ve come up with – but they are by no means the only things West Wales has on offer this Christmas. Buying online means you can give a little piece of Pembrokeshire to your nearest and dearest – something to keep them going until their next visit!
