Our Resident Chef Mark Napper

As a highly capable and energetic chef, Mark Napper had a spell at Warpool Court in the early 1980s as Head Chef and was recognised at the time by The Good Food Guide for his culinary skills.

He left Warpool Court to become Head Chef at the renowned Cromlix House Hotel in Scotland, nominated as 'Egon Ronay Hotel of the Year'. In the mid 1980s, he contracted to work as Guest Chef for a number of illustrious private clients around the world. From 2001, Mark worked in two fine establishments in Somerset and Gloucestershire and then decided to set up his own restaurant in East Looe, Cornwall, 'Trawlers on the Quay'. Mark specialised in seafood and gained an enviable reputation. He sold the establishment to a local hotel in 2010.

Mark revisited Warpool Court in July 2012 and proved to be an excellent chef, taking on the position of Head Chef in October 2012.

Mark has, again, been appointed Head Chef for the 2016 season and all catering will take place in our Sea View Restaurant which offers diners a relaxed environment with exquisite, unspoilt sea views over our listed Italianate, terraced gardens. Look for more information on our 'Dinner' page.
