Time for Trampolines: Warpool Court Hotel’s Peter Trier Details Indoor Alternative

“Holidaying in Pembrokeshire offers the opportunity to do so many firsts. Most people think of trying a new watersport or a trip out to see the dolphins, but have you ever thought of trampolining? It might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Pembrokeshire, but it’s certainly one of the most fun activities you can do here!” says Warpool Court Hotel owner Peter Trier.

Mr Trier points suggests a trip to Hangar 5 – Wales’ first trampoline park. Although the facility opened just a few years ago, it has introduced thousands of visitors to the fun and health benefits of bouncing around.

It’s a brilliant place to help to children jump off some excess energy and a great rainy-day destination. Opening at 10:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:00 a.m. on Sundays, you can test your fitness and build your balance inside Hanger 5.

It’s best to book ahead to make sure there’s space available and you don’t have to wait on arrival. The trampoline arena is impressive and features more than 100 interconnected trampolines in 10,000 square feet of space. There's a nice variety of activities to enhance the fun. Angled walls, rollover platforms, punch bags, a dodgeball court and much more provide loads of options for bouncing and flipping.

Catering to its younger patrons, Hangar 5 has also opened up two soft play areas. Children age three and under can run around safely in one area, while those “bigger” kids (eight years and under) are free to let loose in the other. Hangar 5 provides open sessions, family sessions, and “time attack” for limited time play. It’s best to check the website for age and weight restrictions or to see whether your children will need to be accompanied on equipment.

It’s always good to be properly dressed for the activity before you head over. Athletic clothing, tracksuits, baggy jeans or anything that’s nice and stretchy will fit the bill. Socks are a must for hygiene – wearing the anti-slip variety will help you avoid sliding around too much. You can also hire a locker for a small fee. And after all that bouncing has helped you to work up an appetite, you can explore the options at the Hang 5 Café, where free Wi-Fi is also available.
